The latest rumor of the possible villain in "Spider-Man 4" said that John Malkovich and Anne Hathaway may play the Vulture and the Vulturess respectively in the next Tobey Maguire-starring film. Recently, MTV tried to get some information on the truth about the rumor by asking the depicter of Peter Parker/Spider-Man.
"In terms of 'Spidey 4,' I will plead the Fifth and not say anything," Maguire stated, refusing to confirm or deny the news about the Vulture and the Vulturess. Asked if he would like to see either Malkovich or Hathaway in the next installment of "Spider-Man" film franchise, the 34-year-old coyly answered, "Who knows, who knows..."
According to Movieline, Malkovich who previously starred in "Eragon" has been in negotiations with the filmmakers to play the Vulture. The Vulture is described as an elderly enemy of Spider-Man, who can fly and use his sharp wings as a weapon.

John Malkovich and Anne Hathaway to Be 'Spider-Man 4' Villains

The next Spider-Man's enemies could be found in John Malkovich and Anne Hathaway. According to Movieline, the site has confirmed with sources close to the film that "Spider-Man 4" is circling those two stars to play the villains in the upcoming Sam Raimi-directed movie.
The 56-year-old is reportedly in negotiations with the filmmakers to play the Vulture. In the original Marvel comic books, the possible character for the "Eragon" actor is described as an elderly enemy of Spider-Man, who packs a punch despite his advanced age. The Vulture has flying ability and his sharp wings can be used as projectile weapons.
As for Hathaway, she is said to be the top choice for Felicia Hardy, the character of which has also been linked to Julia Stiles and Romola Garai. However, it is reported that this Felicia Hardy in the fourth "Spider-Man" film will not transform into the Black Cat

I have stayed out of the Spider-Man 4 rumor game primarily because it seemed like people were rushing names to the forefront after a mere whiff hit their Inbox. However, Movieline's latest report just feels right to me as if there is actually something behind it, but that isn't to say I like what they're selling.
The latest buzz says John Malkovich will be playing Spider-Man's nemesis the Vulture with Anne Hathaway currently said to be the top choice for Felicia Hardy, a role that also saw rumored names such as Julia Stiles, Rachel McAdams and Romola Garai.
Now, I apologize for my lack of knowledge when it comes to "Spider-Man" lore, but I will decipher the details as best I can.
Movieline says that while Felicia Hardy's alter-ego in the comics was the Black Cat, that isn't the goal of director Sam Raimi's new film. Instead Raimi's

I just reviewed the Blu-ray version of this release and may I just say it is worth every penny. Pixar films look phenomenal in high-definition and the word "flawless" is by no means a stretch. Along with my review I have also included a clip from the new animated short "Dug's Special Mission," so just click here for the video and full review details.
Oh, and if you want to buy it in store you can get a $10 off coupon right here.
Monsters, Inc.
Yup, it's Pixar week on Blu-ray as Monsters, Inc. joins Up as well as a gift pack version of Cars and this one too manages to impress greatly. There are a few new features, which I detailed in my review and I also included a sneak peek at the new roundtable feature in my review right here.

Keeping up with Milla Jovovich's Tweets from the Resident Evil: Afterlife is a full-time job, but at least it's doing what Sony wants and gives fans and bloggers plenty of material to talk and write about.
Here's a quick overview of the highlights from the weekend. Afterlife started Saturday with some complicated 2nd Unit work involving "alice clones".
right now though, because this sequence is so long and crazy, we r really doing 1st unit work. so paul is here to direct it
and i am here to do some insane stunts! the clones are running and shooting, then crashing thru a huge window
then falling 50 stories, shooting the baddies the whole way down! so rad!
This shot led to more explosions.
ust finished an incredible shot! real trailer moment! me running, semi's blazing, glass exploding in front of me, walls exploding behind me...a one take deal, very precise,

Exclusive: Robert Carlyle on 'Stargate Universe'

Scottish-born character actor Robert Carlyle is one of the most versatile thespians you're likely to meet. He's played a cold-blooded killer on the classic UK crime drama Cracker (1990), a police officer in the BBC drama Hamish Macbeth (1995-97), a psychopath in Trainspotting (1996), a strip-teasing steelworker in The Full Monty (1997), an international terrorist who feels no pain in the Bond film The World is Not Enough (1999), and an intelligence operative in 24: Redemption (2008).
And those are just a few highlights.
Inspired to take up acting after reading Arthur Miller's "The Crucible", the graduate of Glasgow Arts Centre probably never imagined, however, that a journey that began in Scotland's largest city would one day take him to distant worlds aboard an ancient starship. Yet, it is aboard the starship Destiny in a distant corner of the universe where Carlyle now finds himself, as he dons the persona of Dr. Nicholas Rush in Stargate Universe,

Back in 1982, Disney's virtual-reality sci-fi adventure Tron seemed like a cutting-edge concept.
It's still way ahead of what can be achieved with real-world digital technology so it's no wonder the movie retains its cult status.
At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, interest in the sequel - now revealed to be called Tron Legacy - looked just as strong.
As I already reported, there was no new footage to show this year (filming on Legacy has only just wrapped) but the preview from last year's Comic-Con was screened again, this time converted into high-definition 3D.
This new HD trailer with its thrilling light-cycle race is now available online and I've included it above. Never have neon motorbikes looked so good...
To put the franchise into context, the original came out two years after Pac-Man was released on the world's arcades and a year after the arrival of Donkey Kong, the game that introduced us to Mario.

Is Cowboys For Christ Underway?

Robin Hardy has been talking about Cowboys For Christ, a "spiritual sequel" to his 1973 pagan horror musical classic The Wicker Man, for years. He published the story as a novel in 2007, but hasn't directed a film since that mind-boggling 70s original. Until now.Funding fell through last year, but Shock Till You Drop are reporting that some shooting has now taken place in Texas, and is currently underway in Scotland. Christopher Lee is apparently on hand, along with Ed Speleers (Eragon) and Susie Amy (Lesbian Vampire Killers). Joan Collins was originally involved, but it's unclear whether or not she's still aboard.Plot-wise, we're very much back in Wicker Man territory, as two Texan Christians attempt to introduce God to a remote Scottish border town. "There is a tradition among 10 or 15 little towns on the borders in Scotland," Hardy told The Guardian in 2007, "where once a year, usually around the summer solstice,

It's been over a year since we've heard anything about Cowboys for Christ .
Reports in early 2008 said director Robin Hardy's "companion piece" to his 1973 chiller The Wicker Man had lost its funding shortly before shooting was to begin in Scotland with Christopher Lee and Joan Collins leading the cast. Things are picking back up for Hardy. Sources tell us a bit of shooting has already taken place in Texas and Hardy is currently in production in Scotland!
Now, according to the IMDb, the film still stars Lee, as Sir Lachlan Morrison, and includes Ed Speleers ( Eragon ), Susie Amy ( Lesbian Vampire Killers ), Henry Garrett, Keith Warwick and Morgan James.
James and Speleers play Beth and Steve, respectively, Texas Christians on a mission to spread the word of the

'Tron 2.0' Comes With a $300M Price Tag?

A report in the Vancouver Sun is suggesting that Tron 2.0, which has just begun production here in Vancouver, is budgeted at $300M dollars! That's a whopping sum if one stops to consider British Columbia's film and labor tax credits...and a 20% difference between the Us and Cdn dollar. Even if that figure is in adjusted Cdn dollars, it's still a walloping sum for such a niche sci-fi film; a sequel to boot.
If true, that would tie the new Tron movie with Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End as the most expensive movie every made.
We're not quite sure what's going on here, or where all that money will go (we hear craft services in town are charging more these days, but c'mon...), but with only three producers officially attached, it's not as though the film is above-the-line top heavy.
Here's the full report...
