Sitting at a capacious round table filled with half-a-dozen entertainment reporters, Gary Oldman describes himself as a fan of television. “Some of the best stuff you see is on your television screen,” he said. “I love long-form.”
Frankly, this isn’t the first time a movie star who’s new to television has praised the medium printing his paychecks. But Oldman — in a winding, hourlong conversation pegged to “Slow Horses,” his first TV role as a series regular — really does seem to love the visual art of serialized narratives. During the December luncheon (hosted by Apple in New York’s Tribeca neighborhood), he brought up a dozen shows, often unprompted, and even quoted his favorite line from “Succession” off the cuff.
“God, [Brian] Cox had one of the greatest lines when he said, ‘What is that smell in here? It’s like a cheesemonger died and left his cock in the brie,...

The sixth annual Critics Choice Real TV Awards nominations were unveiled, and MTV’s RuPaul’s Drag Race and Peacock’s The Traitors lead the pack.

“The historic strikes by the WGA and SAG/AFTRA necessitated a record amount of unscripted programming in all areas of television, from broadcast to cable to streaming, making the last 12 months a remarkable time for reality TV,” noted Critics Choice Association TV Branch Vice President Ed Martin. “The depth and diversity of our nominees for the sixth...

Harvey Weinstein is looking at a new trial in New York after Labor Day.
The former Hollywood mogul appeared in court in New York Wednesday for the first time since his 2020 rape conviction was overturned. Judge Curtis Farber set a May 29 hearing for discovery and for prosecutors to file a certificate of compliance. If the certificate is filed by that date, the judge anticipated that a trial will begin sometime after Labor Day.
Weinstein was wheeled into the courtroom in a wheelchair, wearing a blue suit with an American flag pin, after having been hospitalized in the days leading up to the hearing. He waved to the first row of attorneys as he was wheeled in and shook their hands as he was wheeled out. He appeared with his attorney Arthur Aidala, in front of a full audience, including Jessica Mann, who testified in the first New York trial.

Nearly 20 years ago in New York City, a young, restless, teenaged Julia Fox would wait patiently for her neighbors to throw out their trash before sneaking down to the basement and scavenging the recycling bins for magazines she could use to make collages. She would skip over the copy and head straight to the photos — oftentimes of models and streetstyle fashion — and use scissors and glue to reimagine the most striking images into her own creation.
“I guess in a way I was making a vision board… but like, not really” Fox tells me, dragging her last syllable in a long, seductive rasp. We’re sitting across from each other in a suite at the Jw Marriott looking over Central Park, only a few long blocks from the Upper East Side neighborhood of Yorkville where she spent much of her childhood, often squatting in whichever vacant apartment her dad was working on as a contractor.

Two days after Harvey Weinstein’s rape conviction was overturned by the New York Court of Appeals, the former movie mogul has been hospitalized.
Weinstein’s attorney, Arthur Aidala, said he was admitted to Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan for a battery of tests, according to The Associated Press.
“They examined him and sent him to Bellevue,” Aidala explained. “It seems like he needs a lot of help, physically. He’s got a lot of problems. He’s getting all kinds of tests. He’s somewhat of a train wreck health-wise.”
NYC Department of Correction spokesperson Frank Dwyer told The Hollywood Reporter that Weinstein remains in custody while in the hospital. A representative for the former movie producer told THR that his prison consultant and Doc liaison, Craig Rothfeld, said they “are grateful for NYC Doc’s care and discretion as they have been treating Harvey Weinstein’s medical issues as best they can.

Harvey Weinstein’s lawyers celebrated his overturned rape conviction at a press conference in New York Thursday.
“From the bottom of our hearts, we knew Harvey Weinstein didn’t get a fair trial,” his attorney Arthur Aidala told reporters. “There are some people who are unpopular but we still have to apply the law fairly to. The law was not applied fairly to Harvey Weinstein. The court of appeals said today that no one is above the law, but no one is below the law either. You can’t throw out 100 years of legal precedent because someone is unpopular.”
The press conference took place in a park across from the Manhattan court where Donald Trump is currently on trial for hush money payments. Shouting Trump protesters surrounded the scrum of over 50 reporters, including a man in a pig mask with a sign that said “Trump is a pig.” Once he...

In a stunning twist to the landmark #MeToo case, the New York state Court of Appeals has overturned Harvey Weinstein’s 2020 rape conviction.
The highest court in New York state’s judicial system ruled on Thursday that the judge in the New York County trial prejudiced Weinstein with improper rulings, including allowing women to testify about allegations that were not part of the case.
The decision orders a new trial take place.
“Under our system of justice, the accused has a right to be held to account only for the crime charged and, thus, allegations of prior bad acts may not be admitted against them for the sole purpose of establishing their propensity for criminality. Nor may the prosecution use ‘prior convictions or proof of the prior commission of specific, criminal, vicious or immoral acts’ other than to impeach the accused’s credibility,” wrote Judge Jenny Rivera in her ruling.

Sarah Jessica Parker became bigger than even some movie stars after years on the iconic series Sex and the City. But after the HBO franchise ended, Parker assumed her stint doing TV would end as well.
Why Sarah Jessica Parker thought she’d left TV for good Sarah Jessica Parker | Cindy Ord/Getty Images
Parker might’ve had her fill of doing television shows after Sex and the City. The show lasted six years from 1998 to 2004. It could’ve lasted even longer if Parker hadn’t decided to end the show on a high. When asked what she planned on doing after Sex and the City in an interview with Oprah, she didn’t see herself jumping on another show.
“So much of my life lately has been Sex and the City, and now I want more. I want to be a better parent, a better actress—to keep myself challenged and terrified.

Meet the newest Bravolebrity. Rebecca Minkoff is joining the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City for season 15.
Minkoff will appear in the upcoming season of the Bravo show, according to a report from Deadline. However, it’s not clear whether she’ll join as a full cast member or appear as a “friend of” the Housewives.
Rhony recently underwent a full reboot, with an all-new cast replacing the Og stars. All six of those women will return for season 15. That includes designer Jenna Lyons, the former creative director of J. Crew.

When Bravo announced that all of the Real Housewives of New York Season 14 ladies would be back for Season 15, it didn’t seem like there was an opportunity to add new cast members.
However, Deadline has reported that Rebecca Minkoff will join the next season’s cast in an undisclosed role.
That means we don’t know whether she’ll be a full-time cast member or a Housewives friend. Producers could decide after seeing what she brings to the table.
There’s also a slight chance that one or two returning cast members—Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitfield—could be demoted before the show begins.
Then again, we’ve had eight full-time housewives across the franchise before and could get the same again. Again, it will all come down to how the season shakes out.

Rebecca Minkoff is joining The Real Housewives of New York City Season 15, Deadline has learned.
A source close to production says the fashion designer has been filming with the cast for the new season in an unspecified role.

Former NBC Universal Television Entertainment chairman Jeff Gaspin is taking a job as VP of unscripted series at Netflix — reporting to Netflix VP of nonfiction series Brandon Riegg. It’s a bit of a reversal for the two execs: In 2010, Riegg joined NBC as vice president of alternative series & development, reporting to the heads of alternative programming there, who in turn reported to Gaspin.
It’s a return to the executive ranks for Gaspin, who most recently ran Gaspin Media as president. It was there that his output included Netflix’s “The Tinder Swindler,” as well as its “Rhythm & Flow.” His other credits included “The First Lady.”
“Jeff is such a huge talent, with so much experience across unscripted and television in general, and I couldn’t be more excited that he’s joining us,” said Riegg. “From ‘Rhythm & Flow’ to ‘Tinder Swindler,’ he’s already been part of the...

Exclusive: Netflix has found its new unscripted chief.
The streamer has hired Jeff Gaspin as VP Unscripted Series after a search for a high-profile figure to lead its burgeoning reality business.
It comes after Deadline revealed that Jenn Levy left the company last month and Brandon Riegg, who is VP Nonfiction Series, to whom Gaspin will report, started a search for top unscripted chief.
There were plenty of big unscripted names in the running for the position and Riegg is understood to have enquired about a number of execs overseeing unscripted for the broadcast networks and major studios.
Gaspin is a big get for Netflix given that he was previously Chairman of NBC Universal Television Entertainment from 2009-11.
However, his hire is less surprising considering he has been in business with Netflix and Riegg on a number of shows. He exec produced The Tinder Swindler, a true-crime series that was...

“I’m proud. I’m also sleepy. I don’t think it’s hit yet,” says Bishme Cromartie when he’s interviewed by fashion mentor Christian Siriano in the final “Project Runway” after show of season 20. Cromartie originally competed in season 17 of the design competition series but was eliminated in fourth place before he got the chance to show a collection. This time, not only did he show his full collection to the judges and spectators at NY Fashion Week, he won the grand prize too. Watch Siriano’s interview with Cromartie above.
Cromartie had an emotionally turbulent experience throughout this season on “Runway.” He seemed to be on the verge of withdrawing from the competition altogether in the season’s very first challenge, “Project Redemption,” because of how difficult it was to work while grieving the very recent death of his sister. He persevered, though, and his final collection even reflected his emotional journey,...

It was close but no cigar for “Project Runway” season 20 finalists Brittany Allen and Laurence Basse. They made it to the top three and showed their final collections, but alas, they finished as runners-up while Bishme Cromartie walked away with the grand prize. Mentor Christian Siriano talked with them one last time during the “Runway” post-finale after show. Watch it above.
“Making a collection in eight days is honestly just rude,” says Siriano. Indeed. In past seasons the “Runway” finalists have been given weeks to complete their full collections. But this time around the All-Stars had to put together eight looks in just eight days. It’s a miracle that the collections got done at all, let alone at the level of quality that Allen, Basse and Cromartie were able to make them.

Celebrity supermodel Heidi Klum has iconic Halloween costumes every year, and fans can’t wait to see what she continues to have in store for the occasion. From robots to crows to worms, Klum never disappoints. However, one of her costumes from over a decade ago completely missed the mark, and fans of her work likely remember it as one of her most problematic costumes to date.
Heidi Klum’s Halloween costume of the Hindu goddess of death and time was her most problematic
In 2008, model Heidi Klum dressed for Halloween as Kali, the Hindu goddess of death and time. Texts and pictures depict Kali as a blue or black goddess with multiple arms, a necklace of faces, a long tongue, and a skirt made of human arms. She holds a human head in one of her arms and stands or dances on her husband beneath her. People from Kashmir,...

Three designers, 24 looks, one nail biter of a finale. Project Runway wrapped Season 20 on Thursday with Bishme Cromartie, Brittany Allen and Laurence Basse facing off one last time with some of their most impressive creations to date.
With eight days to work, one eliminated designer for assistance and $10,000 at their disposal, all three finalists “delivered a unique vision and brought the drama,” to quote returning guest judge Zac Posen. These all-star designers have upped their game since appearing on their original seasons, and that growth was reflected in a trio of stunning runway collections.
