Incompetent hackwork
lor_20 December 2016
On this awful DVD, made before Digital Playground hit all-time pay dirt with "Pirates", the bios give helmer Robby D. more accolades than your typical Nobel Prize winner or Supreme Court justice. It's so laughable after you watch his inept work in the video itself.

The gonzo veteran graduated to bigger budgets and "artistic" (what a joke!) projects for Digital Playground, and nearly all of them are terrible. This time he merely proves he won't get a gig as traffic cop directing an episode of TV's "Lucifer", as his riff on the Faust story is bad in all respects.

Just to run down the worst offences of Mr. D: terrible editing, violating the center line rule (despite his reported film school attendance -must have played hooky a lot) and agitated music-video styling; repetitious script in which one scene is repeated only with star Evan Stone, as Belial aka the Devil, does the scene over dressed in drag and affecting a dumb, high-pitched voice, not to mention his crummy fright wig. Robby and cast don't take their work seriously for a minute.

Probably that's due to the gonzo mentality of sex, sex, sex, and only sex matters. The video is sold on the basis of including superstar Jesse Jane's first boy/girl scene -yawn! The BTS short subject informs us that her designated impaler didn't show up for work, so the lucky stud is replacement Mark Davis. She also humps Stone, shown earlier in the video but shot on the second day of a two-day wonder.

Stone is insufferable with his silliness, never funny but always over the top. He even throws in a brief Gollum impression for "Lord of the Rings" fans.

Lead Eric Masterson looks embarrassed, not delivering one of his solid every-man performances so prevalent during his Wicked Pictures career. As far as JJ is concerned, this is merely a star vehicle and she is unimpressive unless you're a die-hard fan, or somehow missed her uncountable encounters on screen with boys and their cocks in the 13 years since this baby was shot.

Robby wastes a lot of other talent, including the great British star Angel Long merely doing filler sex; and non-sex drivel from Bunny Luv (doubling as wardrobe lady on the crew), Mary Jane and a completely incompetent Maya Camille, whose line delivery is likely the worst of any actor in 2003.
