The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this new feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes .

Sex & Nudity

Only one or two brief scenes involving some kissing. There is a scene where a couple are in the shower. But are not in the nude or doing any sexual things.

A man and woman kiss in bed, and it is suggested that they are nude (we see his bare chest and her bare back implied they are about to have sex).

A man and a woman kiss passionately, they pull each other's clothes off (nothing is visible), they kiss, lie on a bed, and they roll over and fall out of the bed and onto the floor (it is implied that they have sex).

A man and a woman (she is married to another man) kiss while lying on the floor; his shirt is open and reveals his bare chest, and we see her cleavage while she kisses down the man's chest and abdomen (the scene ends here but it is implied that they have sex).

A woman wearing a revealing swimsuit climbs out of the water onto a boat (cleavage, bare thighs and back are visible). A woman wearing a bikini rides a horse along a beach, and a man admires her (a bit of bare buttock is visible when she climbs off the horse). A woman wears a very revealing dress that shows cleavage, bare abdomen and bare back. A woman wears a short silky robe that reveals cleavage and bare legs, and a woman wears a low-cut dress that reveals cleavage and bare back. Women wear low-cut dresses that reveal cleavage, bare shoulders and backs in several scenes.

A man is stripped completely for torture (we see his bare abdomen, back, chest, legs and hips from the side). A man is bare-chested, wearing swim trunks, and a man's shirt hangs open revealing his bare chest.

A man and a woman lie on a beach and snuggle (he is bare-chested and in swim trunks). A woman kisses a man on the cheek. A man nearly kisses a woman. A woman kisses a man's forehead and pulls his head into her cleavage.

A man and a woman exchange flirtatious barbs in a couple of scenes. A man and a woman pretend to be married while visiting a hotel.

A man hugs and consoles a woman (she's very wet and sitting in a shower but she's fully clothed) and he puts her fingers tenderly in his mouth (presumably to clean blood off).

Violence & Gore

The opening sequence shows Bond violently beating a man, and then drowning him in a bathroom sink. The film contains sequences of action violence throughout. The violence is fast paced, in traditional Bond action movie fashion, and the pain is not dwelled upon. There are a few facial scratches on characters who have been beaten, with very little to no blood.

A scene of torture, where Bond is sadistically beaten with a knotted rope. It is very heavily implied that the target is his genitals, and we hear very disturbing shouts of pain.

The implied torture death of a character, to which another character responds by turning away as if about to be sick.

Character is blown up by his own device off-screen. Camera lingers on him right until the final moment.

Character has his neck broken but without an obvious sound effect to lessen the impact.

Character is thrown down a stairwell and lands in a heap at the bottom.

Character is choked to death by another, camera lingers on him as he dies slowly.

Character is shot in the head off-screen. We see his body fall to the ground in front of us with a clear bullet hole in his forehead.

Other characters are shot but with no blood.

Character drowns in a sinking building. Camera lingers on them as they die slowly.

Character is shot in the eye with a nailgun, graphic details are covered by the fact he's wearing dark sunglasses.

Another character is shot in the back repeatedly by a nailgun.

Character is shocked by a taser.

Bond spends most of the action sequences bloodied & bruised.

Profanity

1 scatological term, 2 anatomical terms, 14 mild obscenities, name-calling (cold-hearted, slimy, idiot), 3 religious exclamations.

There is little if any visible smoking in the movie, and no use of recreational drugs. Characters do a fair amount of drinking, mostly at the casino and in restaurants, though Bond does drink to cope with stress. In the context of the film, the use of such substances is unlikely to offend.

An injured and bloodied Bond is stripped naked and tied to a chair, and his genitals (not visible on screen) are beaten repeatedly with a length of rope.

As well, terrorists hold out a woman's arm and threaten to cut it off with a machete, though this scene is very brief, and the threat seems more intended to frighten another character than made in earnest.
