Singer Kid Rock may be laying out a platform for a Senate run in Michigan.
The “I Am the Bulldog” singer fueled speculation that he may seek higher office when he posted a “Kid Rock for Us Senate” campaign sign on his Twitter account last week.
He followed that up with a Facebook post outlining a conservative stand on taxes and regulation.
“I believe if you work your butt off and pay taxes, you should be able to easily understand and navigate the laws, tax codes, health care and anything else the government puts in place that affects us all,” he wrote above a link to his website on Monday.

This story first appeared in the Aug. 23 issue of The Hollywood Reporter magazine. In TV years, a decade might not seem like a long stretch for a cable network, but the present-day Spike is virtually unrecognizable from the one that launched in 2003. Filling its early months with remnants of its first incarnation, the heartland-friendly The Nashville Network, alongside polar-opposite originals (remember a cartoon Pamela Anderson as exotic-dancing secret agent Stripperella? Anyone?), the "first network for men" is now becoming a network for both sides of the sofa. Photos: 10 Years of Spike TV Spike

Did the right pair get the boot? Find out who was cut & vote! Hollywood's best and brightest assembled to compete on Dancing with the Stars: All Stars this season, but after only one night of foxtrots and cha-cha-chas, the first celebrity couple was sent packing on the Sept. 25 results show. So which duo was the first to kiss its Mirror Ball Trophy dreams behind? Drum roll please... Pamela Anderson! That's right, the star of Baywatch, V.I.P., Stacked, Stripperella and (briefly) Home Improvement had the lowest overall score, so she and partner Tristan MacManus were forced to bid farewell to the competition. "I was ready for it, for sure," Pam admitted. "We got the lowest score. But it doesn't end here. We'll keep dancing." And although they weren't voted off this week, there were several other celebs in the danger zone: Bristol Palin, Drew Lachey were all up for elimination,...

Back when I first heard that Lindsay Lohan would be posing nude for Playboy, I was sad. It seemed a desperate act for a once-promising young star, a final appeal for fame from someone with no other options. It seemed this could be Lohan’s last hurrah, the last time her name would grace a magazine cover (at least, until some sort of tragedy struck). But now, just one day after her Playboy cover leaked on the Web, rocketing Lohan to the top of Internet searches, I’m realizing this could hardly be the end for Lindsay Lohan. This, in fact,...

With all of the terrible happenings in the news this week, today felt like the perfect Wednesday to veer away from contentious opinions, looting in London and big events impacting individuals who happen to work in comics. So here, without further ado are the ten tweets in the Twitter Report feed from the last 24 hours that were most likely to induce happiness.
They include details about the "Locke and Key" game from Joe Hill, Eric Powell Godzilla art and Stan Lee smiling next to a real life Stripperella. (Spoiler alert: He looks really, really happy.) They are in no particular order except for the best one being last.

That's right, Stan "The Man" will return to comic writing with Stripperlla. Lee actually created the original version of the character along with Anthony Winn before the cartoon put a different spin on it. You can see Stan and co at Sdcc. The first comic book that Stan Lee has actually written for quite some time. And it’s Stripperella. Nothing to do with he cartoon, it;’s intended to be as Stan would have written it from his original idea. Copies will be signed at the show. In the wake of his infidelity scandal, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first official project since leaving politics has been cancelled.
Production has stopped on ”The Governator,” a family-friendly cartoon series that was to star Schwarzenegger as a retired governor who lives a secret double life as a crime-fighting superhero. His wife, Maria Shriver, and four children were originally planned as part of the series, but their involvement was scrapped before the entire series was cancelled Friday.
A Squared Entertainment, one of the entities producing “The Governator,” announced the show’s demise to the La Times, confirming suspicions that the concept was done for after Schwarzenegger publicly admitted to fathering a love child with a former housekeeper. Unfortunately, now we will never know who might have watched a 63-year-old man hotrod around in “super suits” battling cartoon terminators, if anyone.
This shutdown is the latest failure for a Stan Lee-created character based on a celebrity.

First there was “Stripperella”, and now there’s “The Governator”. Yes, true believers, Stan Lee, the genius behind the “Spider-Man” comic book and “Stripperella” is launching a new cartoon called, of course, “The Governator” starring who else but the Governator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger. The cartoon, which is expected to be out next year, is supposed to be a combination of all the things that makes Schwarznenegger a movie hero. “The word Governator combined two worlds: the world of politics and the movie world. And [this cartoon] brings everything together,” said Schwarzenegger to Entertainment Weekly. “It combines the governor, the Terminator, the bodybuilding world, the True Lies….” The show will be, [...]...

Since completing his term as the governor of California in January, Arnold Schwarzenegger has been hinting at a Hollywood comeback for months. The 63-year-old former action hero said he has at least 15 movie offers on his plate at the moment, including a fifth Terminator movie, a WWII drama titled With Wings as Eagles, and a probable return to The Expendables with his friends and former “Planet Hollywood” business partners Bruce Willis Sylvester Stallone.
But, earlier this month, Schwarzenegger scheduled a press conference to unveil his next project and, naturally, speculation ran rampant, including a pipe dream about True Lies 2 with the Avatar-embedded James Cameron.
The wait is over. Entertainment Weekly unveiled Schwarzenegger’s new career development: an animated television series about a superhero called “The Governator” voiced by Arnold himself. The title borrows from a term coined by the media during his political campaign in 2003, which he adopted at...

This day was inevitable, but still not easy. Pamela Anderson had no chance of outlasting Nicole Scherzinger, Evan Lysacek, or even Chad Ochocinco, but her ouster on Dancing with the Stars last night felt like the cancellation of Stripperella: sure, it wasn't perfect, but it gave Pam the chance to own the snipes of America's undersexed cynics and turn herself into something untouchable. Smuttier types may also recall her work on the post-apocalyptic cleavage-overload of Barb Wire, cheeky animation Stripperella and a certain ropey home video made with Tommy Lee. But how much do you really know about Pamela? Keep reading for ten fast facts about the Playboy legend. 1. Pamela Denise Anderson was born on July 1, 1967 in British Columbia to waitress Carol and furnace repairman Barry. 2. She’s always up for a good time, and last night (April 18) Pamela Anderson had a blast at the 8th Annual TV Land Awards.
The “Stripperella” actress looked lovely as she hammed it up for the shutterbugs outside Sony Studios, sporting a low-cut silver dress with matching heels.
During the course of the evening, Pammie (who is said to owe $493,000 in back taxes) reunited with her “Baywatch” co-star David Hasselhoff.
Speaking of “The Hoff,” David has been facing some tough times as of late, due to being cut from “America’s Got Talent” because of his problems with alcohol abuse.

Hundreds of illustrated concept ideas from artist Jack "King" Kirby, (co-creator of "Captain America", "Fantastic Four", "X-Men" and "New Gods"), intended for potential cartoon shows/toy lines Kirby created in the 1980's for Ruby-Spears Productions, will be the basis for new TV series, cartoons and feature films, according to studio founders Joe Ruby, Ken Spears and Sid and Marty Krofft.
The treaure trove of Kirby concepts are being represented by Ariel Z. Emanuel, co-chief executive of the William Morris Endeavor Entertainment agency.
"It’s like a boat sank at the bottom of the ocean, and all of a sudden you’ve uncovered it", said Emanuel.
The numerous genre projects include, "Roxie’s Raiders", an Indiana Jones-style serial about a female adventurer and her allies, "Golden Shield", about an ancient Mayan hero seeking to save earth in the year 2012 and "The Gargoids", following scientists who gain superpowers after being infected by an alien virus.

Pamela Anderson has rubbished reports she's to star in a new action film - insisting she's serious about her retirement from showbiz. Fans were shocked when the former Baywatch actress was reported to be signed to appear in 'spiritual' movie No Rules, after telling interviewers "I'm never going to work again. I'm retired. I'm just being a mom" to her two children with ex- husband Tommy Lee, Brandon, seven, and Dylan, six. But she insists she really has retired. Anderson told American TV show E! News Live last night, "I don't want to be an actress. I never did want to be an actress. I have retired. I always said that when the kids started going to school, like kindergarten and first grade, which they are right now, that I wouldn't do a series or any more movies or anything like that. Since I've said I retired, I've had so many people come up to me about movies and things like that. I'm not interested in a TV show - that takes too much time." Despite her early retirement, Anderson is currently providing the voice for animated stripper Erotica Jones in American network Spike TV show Stripperella.

NEW YORK -- Spike TV will turn to a fellow Spike to supply the latest addition to its late-night animation block. The cable channel for men has greenlighted a series compiled from cartoon shorts showcased at the Spike & Mike Sick & Twisted Festival of Animation, a traveling underground tour that exhibited early iterations of South Park and Beavis and Butt-head. Six episodes of the series will begin airing in late fall as part of the Strip, the Spike TV block that features animated series like Stripperella. "We've always had a cult following," festival co-founder Spike Decker said. "This is the first time we can bring animation to the masses beyond the theaters."...

A former stripper is suing buxom babe Pamela Anderson over her cartoon series, Stripperella. The former Baywatch star provides the voice of the animated stripper, who moonlights as a superhero. However, Janet Clover, 37, of Florida, America, claims she is the "true creator" of the series and has also filed suit against Stan Lee, who created the character, as well as Viacom TV Networks who are screening it. Clover writes, "This office challenges Lee to produce proof of his creative work, as true authorship belongs to Tanga's Jazz. I'm just trying to get this off TV because it's not his idea." Tanga's Jazz is the adult club where Clover claims she asked Lee about the Stripperella concept during a private dance session. Anderson's agent declined to comment while Viacom were unavailable.
