Loved it

A very well crafted film about a woman with breast cancer. Hold it! Not a sob story! - but a very human tale about how a piece of missing appendage can change all kinds of relationships. What really is important, who really are your friends - in crunch time? Really: it could have been another cliche story. But the writer and the director as well as all the actors are all on their best behavior: they make it real, gripping.

This original and moving story about a woman's courage with cancer had an enlightening impact on me.

Suprisingly the intense storyline was supported by enough humorous dialogue and fabulous acting (thank you Patrick Bristow) to allow an easy digestion of a difficult topic.

Barbara Williams' performance as the main character was both profound and eloquent.

Always love to see her role choices, especially here. Wish there were more like this one. Definitely a must see.

A circle of friends, life crisis and the mystery of life
Lodastar18 October 2003
Loved the fascinating story of a circle of friends, each coming to grips with their life choices and one couple's crisis tends to dwarf the others, giving perspective to each member in the circle. Add to this, the spiritual-astrological overview presented at the beginning of this movie, enriches the film's story and hints at it's philosophical underpinning.A one of a kind film! A must see for all ages.

Excellent Human Comic-Drama
itsmusic26 July 2004
I loved this film! Reminiscent of some of my favorite European films, in that it is character-driven, a 'small story' of Universal appeal, about what it is to be human and living in our challenging world today. Shot basically in one location, this film is filled with colorful characters we can all 'recognize' from our own lives, and yet unique unto themselves. It deals honestly with a subject not often 'discussed' in any entertainment medium, and although the main character's 'journey' could be considered 'tragic', by sharing her pain with her friends and loved ones, she is able to 'live again' and give all of us hope for our own 'tragedies'. Excellent script, direction and acting. If you'd like to laugh (and cry through your tears!), and rejoice that 'you are not alone' in whatever trials life brings you, check out this precious gem of a film.
