Looks absolutely awful **spoilers**

Warning: Spoilers
I know, I know, it's the story that should count more than anything. But the story is so bare bones thin that you end up concentrating on the animation for long periods during which very little happens. And the animation is atrocious - it looks like an amateur student film, if that. The one exception is the cat - who does look quite good - but everyone and everything else is just plain bad.

The film lasts for a full eleven minutes, which is far longer than is necessary for what is a one joke script. A woman gets drunk on her hen night and ends up sleeping with - the vicar! Hilarious. Actually, it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't stretched out over such an interminably long period. An inauspicious start for the now great Aardman Animations and one that should have been severely edited down.

Not what you expect from Aardman Studios - except the cat

A hung over woman wakes up after a night out. Her cat reminds her it is her wedding day and she forces herself up to get ready. A furry die stuck in her clothing is the only reminder of a misspent night of passion in the front of someone's car. She carries on regardless despite the many obstacles to her getting to the church for noon.

Having just watched `Not without my handbag' from Aardman Studios I had felt that the majority of their earlier animation must not be up to their later high standard but still have many of the basic qualities albeit less well rounded. However here I was surprised to note that this came from the Aardman stable of work. The animation here is very basic and rough and makes the film hard to get into.

The actual plot is unclear for too long as it appears to be going nowhere in particular. Only occasionally is it amusing (the hairpin bit was the only smile it got out of me) and for the most part it is quite obvious and weak. The cat character is clearly one of many good animal characters Aardman have delivered (culminating in Chicken Run and the excellent Gromit), and indeed the cat is a much better character than the woman in the lead.

Overall this is quite disappointing, it builds to an unfunny climax and is quite unamusing. The animation is poor and feels a little cheap and the plot/characters do nothing to compensate for this by adding charm etc. Quite a let down really.
