The best Peruvian movie that I have ever seen
alexparedesvera15 July 2001
This movie is wonderful, I really do not have much expectation about Peruvian movies but this movie really liked me. The year is 1618, the environment is so real that you really feel that are in that epoch. This movie shows the hard side of Peruvian colonial society, its beliefs, its fears ,its reality , and in the middle 2 people that want to be free. If you want to see a different movie not another Hollywood movie, it is one that you must see.

THe BEST PERUVIAN FILM!!
joseignaciopena24 September 2002
THis is a must see. It is a great historical film. The whole movie is great it really teaches you history while you are watching a good movie. It is set in the XVII century in an important moment of Peruvian and Latin American History in which national identity is being defined. The mixing of blood and culture, the traumatic encounter of two worlds (the spanish and indian), the process of religious syncretism, but also personal ambition and self-determination set up the background for the journey of two outcasts who must confront intolerance and prejudice.
