Yugoslav entry in the James Bond spoof race
dima-1215 November 1999
"Miss" is a movie directed by debuting director Sasa Husic. It was made as an international co-production with a clear intention to cash-in on many markets.Unfortunately it fails to deliver the goods. The story involves a beauty contest held in Belgrade,Yugoslavia and a web of international terrorism intrigue. The whole plot is set as an excuse for more or less succesful slapstick and screwball comedy which often fails due to lack of movie's audience orientation-it was set to please everyone but it doesn't fully satisfy any audience.Dragan Nikolic is fine in a role of "hard-boiled reporter turned James Bond" and it's fun to see lots of gorgeous models on the beauty contest but that's about all this movie offers.Even though it is an exotic experience.

Catastrophe!

There are plenty of movies like this one, made during the 80's, in Yugoslav cinematography, but this one I have just seen again so I had to write how awful it is.

I don't know what were our famous actors that took part in it thinking of... They needed money so bad???
