One Hundred Years of Solitude just released its trailer and the classic novel seems to have impressed an entirely new audience with its excellent story. While the hype around the show is fairly new, the book has been regarded as one of the most excellent literary works of all time.

General Hospital (Gh) spoilers note that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) has been a wreck since Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) returned to town. While she’s happy he’s alive, with the situation he’s in, she’s terrified that she’ll lose him again. Could she hit rock bottom in the process?
General Hospital Spoilers – Carly Spencer Is Spiraling
Gh spoilers suggest that Carly can’t seem to focus on anything at the moment, except for Jason.
Makes sense, as, unlike some others in Port Charles, she only saw Stone Cold for mere moments, until she was interrupted by Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington).
During the Tuesday, March 26 episode, Carly found out Jason was at the police station and went running to see him, which seems completely crazy; how would she gain access to a felon if she wasn’t his lawyer?

General Hospital (Gh) spoilers hint that things don’t look good for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Once as close as brothers, since Stone Cold’s arrival in Port Charles, the mob boss seems to believe that his former right-hand man has betrayed him. Could these once-best friends become bitter rivals, moving forward?
General Hospital Spoilers – Jason Morgan Will Bear The Brunt Of Sonny Corinthos’s Recent Betrayals
Gh spoilers hint that there are very good reasons why Sonny is skeptical of Jason. First and foremost, he hasn’t forgotten about what happened in Puerto Rico, and how the person behind the shooting was an inside job.
Whether information was leaked, or the person behind the attack knew a little too much about Sonny’s security system. Much like fans once believed, Sonny could think Jason was behind all that. Who else could it be?

Somewhere, at this very moment, someone's dad is probably watching one of the Jesse Stone movies on DVD, and that man is having a great afternoon. After this, he might pop in "Ford v. Ferrari" for the seventh time.
The character of Jesse Stone began his life in a series of airport novels written by the late Robert B. Parker. The first Jesse Stone novel, "Night Passage," was published in 1997 and it followed the titular former LAPD detective (and divorced recovering alcoholic) as he investigated money laundering and murder in Paradise, Massachusetts. Parker had a hit on his hands with "Night Passage," and proceeded to writer eight additional Jesse Stone novels from 1998 up until his death in 2010. Jesse Stone had become an institution at that point, and other authors began writing Stone novels in Parker's style. There have been 11 additional Jesse Stone novels written after Parker's death.

Sylvester Stallone is one of the finest action stars of this generation, and he has proven time and time again that he can perform his own stunts. However, there were times in the past when he had been very reckless in doing fight sequences that resulted in his body permanently sustaining damages.

After over 30 years and 1500 episodes, it was announced today that WWE's flagship program, "Raw," (or "Monday Night Raw") is exiting the linear television landscape and becoming a streaming exclusive for Netflix. The streaming juggernaut will become the exclusive new home for "Raw" starting in January 2025 in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Latin America, among other territories. Over time, more regions will be added as part of the deal. Eventually, the other WWE weekly programs like "SmackDown" and "Nxt" will also join the Netflix family once their existing deals with USA Network and The CW expire, as will additional programming like documentaries, original series, and other future projects.
Considering WWE has its own production studio, it would be unsurprising if Netflix became the new exclusive distributor of WWE Studios, although this has yet to be confirmed. But what is potentially the biggest get outside of "Raw" is...

Zorro and Expats are the big shows coming to Prime Video in January. The former is what Amazon are calling a “bold reinterpretation” of the classic hero El Zorro for 2024. Starring Miguel Bernardeau as Diego de la Vega and Renata Notni as Lolita Marquez, it’s definitely an intriguing-sounding action-adventure series, with a ten-episode first season based on the iconic character originally created by Johnston McCulley all the way back in 1919.
Meanwhile, upcoming drama series Expats is based on the bestselling 2016 novel The Expatriates by Janice Y. K. Lee, and follows “the vibrant lives of a close-knit expatriate community” in Hong Kong. Nicole Kidman has been known for picking the right kind of shows to lead in the past, so let’s hope this is another banger for the actress, who is also on board as an executive producer here.

I Come in Peace… You Go in Pieces!
So goes one of the coolest one-liners I have ever heard, and it’s part of one of the most unheralded Christmas action movies ever. Now, Christmas action movies have always been a thing. Something about the juxtaposition of the holidays and ultra-violent action has always been irresistible to Hollywood. In movies like First Blood and To Live and Die in LA, the holiday theme makes the desperately violent scenario all the more grim. At the same time, other classics like Lethal Weapon and Die Hard ultimately have Christmas messages about friendship and family that come through just as strongly as in a straight-up Christmas movie like It’s a Wonderful Life.
Yet, not every Christmas action flick becomes a classic, which brings me to this special Christmas edition of The Best Movie You Never Saw, where we tackle the Dolph Lundgren Actioner I Come In Peace,...

WWE 2K23 features quite a few improvements to the franchise formula that will certainly be welcomed by wrestling game fans everywhere. Of course, some things never change, which means that WWE 2K23 still makes you unlock quite a few wrestlers via gameplay accomplishments and by spending both real and virtual currency.
The very good news is that WWE 2K23 makes the various unlock processes fairly painless. The problem is that the game doesn’t always do a great job of telling you exactly how to unlock those wrestlers or the best way to go about acquiring all of them. Hopefully, we can help ease that part of the unlock system just a bit.
How to Unlock Every WWE 2K23 Wrestler With Virtual Currency
The vast majority of wrestlers in WWE 2K23 are unlocked via the game’s Virtual Currency (Vc) system. Every wrestler available via the in-game store costs 1,000 Vc to unlock.

Christopher Meloni and Denis Leary are getting their wires crossed. While working undercover with a group of rogue cops called The Brotherhood led by Frank Donnelly (Leary), Detective Elliot Stabler (Meloni) begins to ruffle some feathers, seen in E! News' exclusive clip from the April 28 episode of Law & Order: Organized Crime. When Stabler reveals that Preston Webb (Mykelti Williamson), the leader of The Marcy Killers, reached out to him personally about a job opportunity for the pair, Donnelly takes it personally. "I'm trying to keep everything above board here," Stabler says in the clip. "I don't want anything to come between what we got going on...

Days before WrestleMania 38, then Raw women’s champion Becky Lynch participated in a press junket. A reporter started his line of questioning with, “You used to be the main event…” This set off “Big Time Becks,” as the popular performer believed her match against Bianca Beliar was a headline-worthy bout. Lynch responded, “I am the main event. It doesn’t matter where on the card.” Lynch’s confidence and ability to back up all the words she speaks have made her a trailblazer among the top WWE superstars, male or female. And Lynch and Belair may not have gone on last like “Stone Cold” Steve Austin against Kevin Owens or Brock Lesnar versus Roman Reigns, but they certainly put on a show-stealer given the social media response since. For the Irish entertainer, it’s about the storytelling. Lynch will go all in on whatever promo, angle, or match in order to hook viewers.

Captain Cragen's cameo appearance was all too short but so good.
On Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 2 Episode 17, Stabler turned to his old mentor for answers about his father's behavior on the job.
While Cragen couldn't tell him much, hopefully, the little he did say gave Stabler a sense of closure.
Stabler spent the hour balancing his questions about his father with his need to investigate The Brotherhood.
The pressure was on at work, with a new Ada wanting this investigation wrapped up as quickly as possible.
Bit Stabler's home life wasn't much better.
Bernie's reintroduction was somewhat on the anticlimactic side.
Her homecoming seemed like another normal event in the Stabler household even though she was in the hospital after being kidnapped and discovering her boyfriend worked for Richard Wheatley.
You'd think she'd have some aftereffects from the whole thing! The poor woman already suffers from bipolar disorder and dementia,...

The most prestigious franchise in the Paramount corral hasn’t dimmed in esteem or popularity despite its somewhat lesser third installment. The whole trilogy was given an impressive restoration by Robert A. Harris, and this new remastered 4K set retains that very good work. Francis Coppola can’t be faulted for not wanting to revive the old expanded ‘Saga’ cut from network TV — and this release gives us sparkling 4K and digital presentations, including all three variants of Godfather III: theatrical, the 1991 recut and the recent director’s cut Mario Puzo’s The Godfather, Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone.

October’s here and it’s time to get spooked. After last year’s superb “’70s Horror” lineup, the Criterion Channel commemorates October with a couple series: “Universal Horror,” which does what it says on the tin (with special notice to the Spanish-language Dracula), and “Home Invasion,” which runs the gamut from Romero to Oshima with Polanski and Haneke in the mix. Lest we disregard the programming of Cindy Sherman’s one feature, Office Killer, and Jennifer’s Body, whose lifespan has gone from gimmick to forgotten to Criterion Channel. And if you want to stretch ideas of genre just a hair, their “True Crime” selection gets at darker shades of human nature.
It’s not all chills and thrills, mind. October also boasts a Kirk Douglas repertoire, movies by Doris Wishman and Wayne Wang, plus Manoel de Oliveira’s rarely screened Porto of My Childhood. And Edgar Wright gets the “Adventures in Moviegoing” treatment,...

Alex Cord immortalized by Norman Rockwell for the marketing campaign for the 1966 version of "Stagecoach".
By Lee Pfeiffer
Actor Alex Cord has died at age 88 in Texas. Cord overcame a childhood battle with polio to become an active horseman who could perform impressive stunts. Those abilities, along with his rugged good looks and lanky build, helped him land jobs as an actor. He appeared in popular television series beginning in the early 1960s including "Ben Casey", "Laramie", "Naked City" and "Route 66" before transitioning to the big screen. He made his feature film debut in with an uncredited role in "The Chapman Report" in 1962 but it was in the all-star 1966 remake of John Ford's classic 1939 Western "Stagecoach" that Cord was cast in the star-making role of the Ringo Kid, a sympathetic outlaw on a trail of vengeance. Alex Cord, who co-starred with Jan-Michael Vincent and Ernest Borgnine in the 1980s attack-helicopter series Airwolf and had a long career onscreen, died Monday morning at his home in Valley View, TX. He was 88.
His talent agent and friend of 20 years, Linda McAlister, confirmed the news to Deadline.
Cord had been working in films and TV for more than 20 years before he landed his signature role as the mysterious, eyepatch-sporting Archangel on Airwolf. The CBS drama debuted in 1984 — the year all three broadcast networks bowed helicopter dramas following the theatrical success of Blue Thunder. Airwolf starred Vincent as Stringfellow Hawke, a brooding loner who was tasked with recovering the titular attack copter from its creator, who had stolen the craft with plans to sell Airwolf to Libya.

Yorgos Lanthimos's Nimic is exclusively showing on Mubi in the Luminaries series.Above: Vasilis Marmatakis’s poster for Nimic.Has there ever been a graphic designer more closely allied with a filmmaker than Vasilis Marmatakis is with Yorgos Lanthimos? Saul Bass and Otto Preminger are the team that most easily come to mind, but even then, though Preminger was a great supporter of and advocate for Bass’s work, I don’t feel that Bass’s designs quite express Preminger’s ethos in the same way that Marmatakis’s designs encapsulate the wonderful strangeness of Lanthimos’s work. Starting with Dogtooth in 2009, Marmatakis has created the windows to his friend’s worlds with a series of iconic posters that are among the very best of the past 20 years.Above: Vasilis Marmatakis’s posters for Yorgos Lanthimos’s films (clockwise from top left) Dogtooth (2009), The Lobster (2015), Alps (2011), The Favourite (2018) and...

After five episodes of “American Idol” focused on auditions, the show shifted to Hollywood week on March 16. Expect plenty of fireworks as the three judges — pop princess Katy Perry, country superstar Luke Bryan and Oscar-winning singer/songwriter Lionel Richie — decide which of the hopefuls to take forward in the competition and which will get a farewell hug from host Ryan Seacrest.
Over the course of the three episodes devoted to Hollywood Week (the others airs next Sunday and Monday) the contestants sing in three rounds: lines of 10, groups, and solos. The judges will winnow the list down to just 40 who will sing in a showcase set to air on Sunday, March 29.
Those contenders will be culled down to just half that number and that Top 20 will be judged on both solo performances and celebrity duets over the course of three episodes. Once the live playoffs of “American Idol” season 18 begin,...

So, so far from Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Session series on WWE Network, we’ve seen The Texas Rattlesnake sit down and talk with The Undertaker, Kane and Goldberg, so it wasn’t a surprise to see another long serving veteran from WWE step up next, with none other than Paul “The Big Show” Wight.
The format for this episode is the same as we’ve seen so far from this series, with Austin sitting down with Big Show, asking him some open questions and letting the conversation flow. We hear about Paul Wight’s entry into pro-wrestling and his debut in WCW, and they talk about his career there, the people he worked with, and how he feels about the run he had all these years later. After the results were revealed on Tuesday’s episode of “The Voice,” only eight artists remain in contention to win season 17. Of the four coaches, reigning champ John Legend is the only one with three contestants still in the running. Legend won in his first season as did Kelly Clarkson.
After winning again the following season, Clarkson was bested by Legend last spring. She is pinning her hope for revenge on two artists. Blake Shelton also has two chances to finally score an elusive seventh win. His lady love, Gwen Stefani, is down to just one artist on her team.
Which of these Top 8 do you think sounds most like a winner? After reviewing the sales results of their tracks from the Top 10 live show on December 2 vote in our poll as to your choice for champ and we will report back with your rankings. And be sure to sound off in the comments section.

Coaches Gwen Stefani and Kelly Clarkson each lost another artist as Tuesday’s results episode of “The Voice” revealed the eight semi-finalists. Gwen’s Joana Martinez and Kelly’s Shane Q were defeated by Team John Legend‘s Marybeth Byrd after all three sang for the instant save. Heading into the Top 8, Team Legend remains intact with three artists in contention while Blake Shelton and Kelly each have two. Gwen has just one hopeful remaining.
After the eight semi-finalists perform again Monday, December 9, the public will vote. The three artists with the most support will advance to the finale. The two artists with the least amount of votes will be instantly eliminated and the three remaining will sing for the final instant save of the season. Gold Derby readers have been making their predictions all week long for which two of the Top 10 artists on “The Voice” won’t be making it into the Top 8, and things are not looking good for Joana Martinez and Shane Q. Both of these contestants have already appeared in the bottom and successfully sang for their lives in the instant save, but now their journeys on NBC’s reality TV show may be coming to an end. Joana of Team Gwen Stefani has 1/3 racetrack odds of going home on Tuesday night while Shane of Team Kelly Clarkson has odds of 2/11.

“The Voice” Top 10 artists each sang one song on Monday’s live episode with the goal of getting it to the top of the iTunes chart. The pressure was on as viewers had just one hour after the show went off the air to stream their favorite tunes on Apple Music. Okay, okay… I know this is kind of typical for this time of year, but hear me out. I have a good argument for why WWE should being back the old WCW pay-per-view concept, Halloween Havoc, to their annual PPV schedule.
Back in the 80s and 90s (and the year 2000) World Championship Wrestling hosted a pay-per-view every October called Halloween Havoc. Occuring every year from 1989 until 2000, Halloween Havoc was the autumnal spooky show for WCW, a themed event that looked the part but didn’t feel too forced like PPVs of the modern-age like Hell in a Cell do. You see… Hell in a Cell used to be a gimmick match that was utilised during a specific feud that had become so heated that the Cell was the only way to contain the hatred between the two participants, but now, with the annual Hell in a Cell PPV, we know...

If you watch WWE PPVs now, which I do, you’ll likely notice that they pretty much all look the same. Sure, the logos are different, but the set-up is all the same. It’s not really the biggest deal, but I did always get a lot of enjoyment out of seeing the unique sets that WWE would implement on their shows back in this era. If it was WWF Armageddom the stage would be littered with chain link, tanks, barrels, scaffolding. If it was WWF Backlash, we...

Two years ago, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin told TheWrap that he’s “down with anybody using the Stunner,” a pro-wrestling move he made into an iconic finisher. At the time, Kevin Owens had just begun busting it out in WWE competition. With a few years of the maneuver now under K.O.’s contracting belt (he’s been losing some serious weight and waistline lately), we asked Austin, now the host of his own USA Network talk show, to grade the current “SmackDown Live” Superstar.
“I would give it a B+,” Austin said of Owens’ use. “I’m a huge K.O. fan, but I’ve seen a couple of the deliveries that have been a little off.”
It’s almost like Austin is reading Wrestling Twitter when Owens does the move Mondays on “Raw” (as a “Wildcard”) or Tuesdays on “SmackDown Live,” the latter of which is technically K.

These days, WWE Superstars don’t just make their TV money through in-ring performances on “Raw,” “SmackDown Live” and WWE Network pay-per-views — there’s an entire (WWE) Universe of opportunity for popular pro wrestlers to earn big bucks on the small screen.
In our gallery are 11 WWE wrestlers with their own television shows. We included a few select series from recent years to help paint a picture of the non-canvas landscape. A few: “Straight Up Steve Austin,” “Fight Like a Girl” and “The Big Show Show” have yet to premiere.
For the purposes of this story, we only counted the three people who appeared in all 111 episodes of “Total Divas” — Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Natalya — as it being *their* show, but we included the names of everyone who showed up in seven or more episodes of that one.

WWE’s “Raw Reunion” Monday night pinned down 3.093 million total viewers, an increase of 26% from last week’s regular ol’ “Raw” episode.
In terms of both total viewers and the key 18-49 demographic, last night’s “Raw” was actually the highest-rated episode since the April 16, 2018 Superstar Shakeup.
Yes, that means it did even better than the “Raw” after WrestleMania 35, which is a big performer annually and marks the start of World Wrestling Entertainment’s new “season.” Monday’s episode was 5% higher among adults 18-49 than that April 8, 2019 fallout show, and did 6% better overall.

The “Raw Reunion” did not keep pace with Jan. 22, 2018’s “Raw 25” episode, which celebrated the 25th anniversary of WWE’s flagship series on USA Network.
