- The character of the Gemini Killer is a very disturbed and evil individual. Every scene with him is unnerving and creepy.
- All scenes with Brad Dourif's character are unnerving and creepy
- A lot of unpleasent purely atmospheric horror scenes way too many to mention
- This film has possibly the most effective jumpscare in a horror movie ever.

- Father Dyer is killed, we never see the body but we see his entire blood supply in jars on the table plus "a wonderful life" is spelled in blood on the wall
- In a dream Kinderman has we briefly see what's maybe supposed to be Father Dyer dying
