The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Rated R for graphic violence, pervasive language and strong sexual content.

There is a sex scene between Rae Ingram and Hughie Warriner. Nudity includes showing Rae's breasts and the bare butts of both characters. The scenes with nudity are shown briefly, but there is a closeup of Rae's facial expressions where she pants and moans as Hughie has sex with her.

Female nudity is also shown briefly in a scene that shows bodies of dead naked women that are found floating in a sinking ship.

Violence & Gore

Violence includes the physical acts of hitting and kicking. Uses of weapons such as flares, a harpoon, and a shotgun. There are moments of Hughie Warriner strangling Rae Ingram and tossing her around. And there is blood and gore coming from the car crash scene in the beginning of the movie.

Profanity

Strong uses of language that are briefly said or written.

There is a scene that involves Rae Ingram placing a sedative in an alcoholic drink to give to her captor Hughie Warriner in order to knock him out.

There is also a scene where Rae grabs hold of cigarettes and talks about smoking them.

The frightening/intense scenes include showing a child die in a car crash, dead naked bodies of female victims, sexual tension between a kidnapper and his abductee, and horrified acts of violence on the main characters.
