The plot of the film revolves around a police takedown of a drug ring; drugs are discussed by cops and criminals for much of the film. They also appear onscreen in the form of heroin, marijuana and pills, but none is ever shown actually being in use. Characters drink and smoke occassionally.
Some very intense chase scenes (by foot and car) as well as very tense shootouts and confrontations take place throughout the film.
