‘Traitors’ Winner Chris ‘Ct’ Tamburello: ‘The Game Was Designed to Keep You in a State of Confusion’
To viewers of MTV’s The Challenge, it shouldn’t have been a big surprise that Chris “Ct” Tamburello won the second season of the U.S. incarnation of Traitors alongside his longtime Challenge co-competitor Trishelle Cannatella. He’s appeared on 19 seasons of The Challenge and won $1,365,000 — more than any other contestant in the history of the show. The Challenge two-time champ Ashley Mitchell notably kept the million-dollar prize for herself in Final Reckoning, leaving teammate Hunter Barfield with nothing. She has since reflected on her decision, admitting she never “hesitated.”
Ashley Mitchell considered keeping the million-dollar prize her ‘opportunity’
Following her win in The Challenge: Invasion of the Champions and early exit from Dirty 30, Ashley Mitchell returned for Final Reckoning alongside nemesis Hunter Barfield as Mercenaries.
On their way to the final, they won an elimination and daily mission, where the two came out on top. However, Ashley had the fastest time, giving her the victory and the option to keep or split the million-dollar prize. She chose to take the money and run, citing his treatment of her throughout the season as her logic, causing Hunter to have a memorable meltdown.

As we near the conclusion of the first phase of the “America’s Got Talent: All-Stars” competition, there’s one question on our mind: What do the superfans have against singers? Out of the 40 acts to perform in the first round so far, a quarter of them can be considered vocal talents, but only chorale group Detroit Youth Choir has advanced, and that was thanks to a Golden Buzzer from Terry Crews. The nine other singers failed to earn enough votes from the superfans and were eliminated, but why?
Among the singing acts eliminated so far are former Golden Buzzer acts Cristina Rae and Sara James as well as champions of “Canada’s Got Talent” and “Dominica’s Got Talent” Jeanick Fournier and Keren Montero. Both Jeanick and Keren placed within the top three with the superfans on their respective episodes, as did Caly Bevier and Ndlovu Youth Choir. None of...

Unsurprisingly, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is among the most anticipated movies in recent memory. Not only is it a sequel to one of the most culture-defining films of the past ten years, but questions remain about who exactly will play the title hero. But one of the more surprising points of interest involve a new addition to the MCU, Riri Williams aka Ironheart.
Williams first appeared in 2016’s Invincible Iron Man #7, written by Brian Michael Bendis and drawn by Mike Deodato, as a young genius inspired by Tony Stark. In the issues that followed, Williams reverse-engineered Stark’s Iron Man armor to deal with a threat, eventually earning her own suit. In her solo series and in the teen team-up book The Champions, Williams has continued to evolve the armor into something more sleek and personal, less beholden to Stark’s aesthetic.

Normally around this time, fans of “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” would be glued to their televisions watching the latest season on NBC. Not this year. Due to several reasons, including the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, this reality TV competition that features acts from all over the world has no plans to air any time soon, Gold Derby has learned. The “AGT” spin-off first debuted January 7, 2019, with the second season bowing January 6, 2020.

Before “Shaolin Soccer”, there was “The Champions”. Yuen Biao, despite his athletic prowess, was always a support act for his Peking opera brothers Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung and never quite reached their level of stardom, despite earning a reputation as one of the most talented performers of his generation. This feature sees him front and centre with an opportunity to show off his talent. So is it a match winner or does it get a deserved red card?

“America’s Got Talent” continued the final phase of its unconventional season 15 on Tuesday with the third live performance show and Wednesday with the results of that show based on audience votes. In this quarter-finals round, which consists of four episodes, 11 acts per night will perform for the judges. On the August 25 live show, judges Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara were alone on the panel while Simon Cowell remained absent while recovering from surgery.
Of Tuesday’s 11 acts that performed, only five of them will advance to the next round, the semi-finals. Those 11 acts were: Simon’s Golden Buzzer act dance group W.A.F.F.L.E. Crew and Heidi’s Golden Buzzer act singer Cristina Rae, aerialist Alan Silva, dance crews Bone Breakers and Dance Town Family, drummer Malik Dope, magician Max Major, stand-up comedian Usama Siddiquee, and singers Annie Jones, Nolan Neals, and Sheldon Riley.

The winners list for “America’s Got Talent” already includes two magicians — Mat Franco (Season 9) and Shin Lim (Season 13) — but will the current 15th season add another to this elite group? During the upcoming Tuesday, June 23 episode of “Agt,” the judges meet a young card magician named Winston who wows them with his eye-popping tricks. As the 21-year-old from Venezuela explains, “This is a huge opportunity to show America my love to magic and I hope they will love it.” Watch the sneak peek video above.

NBC’s long-running reality TV show “America’s Got Talent” is going through a major facelift for its upcoming 15th season, as Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara have replaced Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough. Klum of course is an old pro at judging “Agt” since she appeared in Seasons 8-13, plus spinoff series “Agt: The Champions.” (See the list of judges through the years.) However, Vergara is completely new to the game, having never judged a competition program before. “I think she’s gonna be really direct and sweet at the same time,” Klum predicts in NBC’s new teaser trailer (watch above).

One of the most successful contestants to ever come out of “America’s Got Talent,” opera singer Jackie Evancho, now age 20, made a return trip to the franchise during the 2019 spinoff series “America’s Got Talent: The Champions.” With “Agt” set to return this summer on NBC, we thought it was the perfect time to revisit Evancho’s most powerful performance on the reality TV stage. In the Season 1 finale of “The Champions,” the then-18-year-old gave us all goosebumps by singing Barbra Streisand‘s “Somewhere” while donning a blue ballgown (watch above).
Judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Mel B and Heidi Klum were all speechless as they watched Evancho do her thing. Weeks earlier she had been eliminated in the first round of competition, but she still accepted their invitation to return in the finale’s results show for this non-competitive performance. The superfans on “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” are a controversial bunch, and for good reason. At-home viewers are frustrated, maybe even a little jealous, that these delegates from all 50 states get to call the shots instead of them. (See how the voting process works.) Love ’em or hate ’em, the superfans are here to stay on “The Champions” as we approach the February 10 finale. But are they biased toward homegrown American acts, since they’re obviously already familiar with their stories? Or do the superfans deserve credit for voting for performers from all around the world? Let’s investigate.

Poor Howie Mandel must be in a state of mourning following the comedy bloodbath on Monday’s episode of “America’s Got Talent: The Champions.” Only two stand-up comedians were still in the competition as of the semi-finals: “Agt” Season 14 finalist Ryan Niemiller and Season 9 “Australia’s Got Talent” semi-finalist JJ Pantano. Both were axed by the controversial superfans. As the panel’s requisite comedian, Mandel is often seen fighting for funny men and women, but he had no control over these delegates from all 50 states who hold all the power on “The Champions.”

Rapping/singing act Bars and Melody, a fan favorite from “Britain’s Got Talent,” was jaw-droppingly eliminated during Monday’s fourth episode of “America’s Got Talent: The Champions.” Leondre “Bars” Devries and Charlie “Melody” Lenehan were just kids when they auditioned in front of Simon Cowell and Alesha Dixon across the pond, eventually making it to third place in 2014. For their American debut on “The Champions,” the boys took on an original song that failed to impress the judges. In fact, Howie Mandel even slammed his hand down on his red “X” — how rude! Watch Bars and Melody’s performance video above.

Following a series of questionable decisions, the America’s Got Talent judges returned for Week 3 of The Champions on Monday. And this time, no one made me want to throw a chair at my TV. That’ progress!
The power of the Golden Buzzer returned to Howie Mandel this week, though Simon Cowell warned him, “You’d better be quicker than me this time.” (Seriously, we don’t need another Boogie Storm-level act slipping through the cracks because Cowell can’t control his impulses.)
