From a random talk with a stranger, trucker Nikolai learns about his wife's infidelity. On the way home, he picks up a battered girl Ksyuha, whom he cannot leave alone on the winter track. Nikolay and Ksyuha embark on a strange journey, and none of them surmise how it will end.
