Clint is a dead man who lives alone in a frozen tundra. However, this isolation cannot bring either evasion or peace. One night, he begins a journey where he must confront his dreams, memories, and visions, crossing the darkness into the light.

Right, firstly, you will hear maybe 5 words in English in the first 30 minutes. There is lots of rambling in Yupik and Russian, but as it's not subtitled you'd have to guess what is being said. Mostly, I could not guess at all.

Then there's random images of 2 men suddenly, out of the blue being attacked by a bear. Later Dafoe goes down a staircase to a basement, but end up in a cave which has a sea inside and a sunrise.

Therein takes part the most ridiculous and meaningless and pretentious conversation ever between Dafoe and some image in the water. The conversation is clearly meant to be profound, but it's not, it's meaningless nonsense.

The film just does not have a point, a flow, a story, it's just a series of unconnected scenes that have no order and make no sense.

There will be some arty types who make up a great raison d'etre for it, but the truth is, it's just rubbish.
