Brian Keith stars as Judge Milton C. Hardcastle, and I remember watching a few episodes of Hardcastle and McCormick when it when it debuted back in 1983. It's hard to believe Hardcastle and McCormick debuted over 40 years ago, yes four decades ago, wow. Anyway, the idea of a judge and the reformed con. Restoring justice was quite appealing, especially with 200 cases on file. Sadly we didn't get to see all 200 cases solved, as the series was axed after nearly 70 episodes. But still, I'd like to think Hardcastle and McCormick inspired the TV series Dark Justice which was more dramatic in bringing justice from the ashes of injustice.
