I like Sylvester Stallone and he's one of my favorite action stars, but that's what he is: an action star. It was cool to see him try some comedy, but you could tell it just wasn't his style. And, he's not the most convincing romantic. Jennifer Barrett's first "whack" was the comedic highlight of the film, but Sylvester Stallone's few actually funny moments were when he was effortlessly dispatching enemy goons. I didn't have any high expectations before watching Avenging Angelo, and I was only barely disappointed. I should rate this a 5, but for now it's a (very low) 6. It wasn't god awful, but this is not a movie I would recommend to others.
