8 Simple Rules( alternatively 8 Simple Rules For Dating My Teenage Daughter) was a 2002 comedy series starring John Ritter,Kathy Segal,Kathy Cucco and Amy Davidson.
The series followed a strict father named Paul(Ritter) who is very protective with his two daughters (Davidson and Cucco) more so than his son(Martin Spanjers). Throughout the series one of his daughters goes on dates and its up to him to protect his daughter with who she dates and doesn't date.
This tv show actually ran for 3 seasons but ended in tragedy as John Ritter was filming Season 2 but sadly died after he collapsed on set and had to be rushed to the hospital only to be dead shortly after from an aortic dissection. Since then Kathy Segal was the main lead but the show got cancelled shortly after John's death.
