Human instinct
7 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
It was starred by Ibyon Hon, a famous actor in Korea.

And the story goes like as follows... Movie setting was that there was a disaster in Korea that overwhelmed with all the Korean coutnry nationwide except that one apartment was remained intact.

Because of that, there were lots of lootings and murders and violence going on to get food. So there must be some rule and order to suppress those violence.

Residents of apartment were gathered and having a meeting, discussing this and that, and then one man whose profession was unknown was chosen as a leader.

The leader performed by Ibyon Hon was efficient at first leading those food ration and making teams to control violence and making rules to reward residents in proportion to their contribution to the community.

But he became dogmatic gradually... and protagonist of public servant and his wife have some animosity against him as residents.

And his wife found out that the leader was using fake name of the deceased resident. That means he was actually not a resident of the apartment.

Stillmore, there was a insurgent of other suvivor in this area to get food for survival, making him a archienemy of everyone including residents of the apartment.

He got dead by looting and theives. After looitngs and thieves coming to the community, the protagonist got dead being beside of his wife.

His wife became a survivor of this rampage and felt saddness about her life. When asked about the residents were berserk, she told him that is not true. The residents are all normal people just severely cornered for survival.

I thought that it was very a sad story with bad ending.

A memorable line by protagonist was "I just want to have a stable life, that's why I became a public servant." That man was brainwashed by the leader and did series of misdemeanor and crimes with feeling a qualm. I think that human beings will do anything when they are in dire situation just for their survival.

I felt that the human instincts are the same whether they pretend to be a good Samaritan or Malilyn Manson.
