Lacks the Charm and Storytelling of the Original Movie
12 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It was great getting to peak in on what the characters X and his now ex-boyfriend Andrew are doing. They have moved to Los Angeles and apparently left Joey behind in Seattle. X and Andrew despite breaking up are still living together for financial reasons. X returns to making money as a sex worker but as expected quickly finds out the game has changed. There are a bunch of hysterical scenes but the flick tv series falls short of the originals charms and sexiness. Not a shocker since rarely does a sequel or revisiting film tv series truly wet our appetites. At one point it all seems a bit rushed and short and trust me I get budget and time restraints but why disappoint the audience. Theres a poignant moment when X realizes he still loves and needs Andrew and he let his prickly ways get in the way of true happiness something he did in the original movie. It's worth a watch if you loved the original film.
