Officer Jake Rosser (Aaron Eckhart) is a K-9 cop on patrol. He talks to his dog like it is a person. Jake tells him stories about Iraq. He gets called to a crime scene. Things go bad. His dog gets shot and dies as he punches out an EMT who treats humans first over dogs. Jake is placed on leave and must see a shrink over his anger management issues. He wants revenge for his dog. Jake gets another dog. One that has a muzzle because she snaps. He trains with "Socks" who seems to be known by Dante, a street informer who does not speak much but like Huggy Bear gets all kinds of information.
I was pretty bored with the film which just seemed to go through the motions of a crime drama.
