I must admit that "The Game" show on Netflix was one of the most entertaining and hilarious shows I have ever binge-watched. I was hooked right away from the first episode. The show is a comedy-drama, and it shows the relationships of three fascinating women (Melanie Barnett, Kelly Pitts, and Tasha Mack) with professional football players (Derwin, Jason, and Malik) who play for the fictional San Diego Sabers. The show gives good insights into the compelling lifestyles of football players, accompanied by the complexities and hierarchies of the game. I devoured this show in five days and was engaged throughout. However, some of the episodes were dragged out, and at times, I felt like the character lines were childish and immature. However, this did not take away from the charm of the show. If anything, it only made the presentation more relatable and authentic.

The show tackles some stereotypes often associated with black shows and professional athletes. Sometimes, the stereotypes were depicted exaggeratedly, but that is the whole point of the show: to give a dramatic and comedic effect. And in that regard, "The Game" absolutely nailed it because I found myself giggling and laughing the entirety of the show. With every scene came a witty line, and the laughing sound effects in the background made it more humorous. I highly recommend watching this show because it is entertaining and informative, and the characters played their roles very well.
