There are two kinds of masterpieces. The first includes movies that nobody can deny they belong there. For example, anyone can claim that doesn't like CASABLANCA. It's his/her personal taste, nothing wrong with that. But noone can claim that CASABLANCA is not a masterpiece. Such an opinion like this would be laughable, zero value in it.
The second kind of masterpieces includes movies that one consider them as masterpieces. But he/she understands that these movies are polarizing. Not undeniably masterpieces. One can find many reasons to dislike these particular movies. And the one who considers them as masterpieces, can see this point. These movies are addressing to a specific audience.
So, i was blown away by HUSBANDS. It's 154 minutes and i could literally watch another 154 minutes these guys arguing/fighting/being silly and greedy and weak/and doing whatever. I understand that many people won't like it, or even worse, they might find it repulsive. I'll be honest: If i were a woman, i would probably hate it. And that would not be unreasonable. These dudes don't seem like "Husbands material".
Keep in mind though: This is an accurate depiction of a VERY LARGE percentage of men. This is one of the most realistic movies i have ever seen. This is male friendship. That's what men do when they are with their friends. I don't mean the adultery, i mean the rest of these guys do. They might fight for silly reasons. They might take stupid decisions. They might be brutally honest. They might be cruel to each other and with other people. They can be violent and sweet, they say cruel things but they can easily forget and forgive. And a part inside of them will never grow up. Unfortunately, this specific part is dominant for many men.
This is not a depiction of an ideal friendship. But still, i am really sorry for every man that had never a friendship like this one. My life would be very poor without the memories of my friends and all the stupid things we did and said. No man will ever be complete if this movie is something strange to him because he has not encountered situations like these.

It's a flawed movie. At times, improvisation is not successful, they are literally saying things that make no sense. There is too much absurdity here. Motives are not crystal clear. So, it's a flawed movie. Flawed like every true friendship. Flawed like every human being.
Flawed like life.
This is the only movie in the history of Cinema which its flaws can be seen also as positives whilst they remain flaws. And that's because this is more Life than Cinema.
