HANDS DOWN, THE BEST SHORT FILM I'VE EVER SEEN
7 October 2023
This is why I loved watching British comedy when I was growing up, and it is why I loved reading books by Roald Dahl and other great children's authors. It is unnecessary to be spoon fed every single detail of a story; half the fun is using your imagination to fill in the blanks. It's why theatre is so amazing; because you have to pay close attention and watch for clues.

I was in tears of laughter throughout most of this performance. The entire cast, direction, and setting was perfection. No one attempted to steal the spotlight, but instead let the story be the vehicle and allowed the audience to take wheel for individual interpretation.

What initially seems like monotonous droning from the narrator in the early moments immediately becomes a point of humor, and in fact leads to the excitement of the climactic scenes.

Even after everything slows down and it seems like it's done, you still have to be on your toes or you might miss amusingly vital information in the concluding moments.

A thoroughly entertaining experience. I've watched it multiple times and have recommended it to everyone I know.
