Fancy, Fantastic, Fundamental and Fresh Dystopia
2 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Maybe, audience who had not been dystopia movies would get confused with its atmosphere, which makes depress and disbelieves. But different with other dystopia movies, it has 'black-comedy' of our society. Like Hwang-Gung Apartment, residents have vertical status to survive at the disaster. It looks nice at first, but it was gone worse the time goes on. With our so much-optimistic hopes of that rule finally makes catastrophe, nevertheless they thought it was 'perfect'. There is no perfect rules and peoples, although they have 'Concrete' Utopia. Fancy camera-works and this unacceptable, but also acceptable condictory of apartment may metaphor that, requires "how we survive with ours humanity?" This characters of this movie can be seen someone is villian, someone is hero... but you can see that when you watched this movie, there was people, who was 'normal'. There was no unrealistic(except some settings, such of how apartment standed the terrible earthquake, etc.) things, but there was, no, there was made of all our 'normality' and 'condictory' of our society. I'm glad with South Korea's new-movie styles, which not have unnecessary new-waves and sadness. Smooth and satisfying.

Postscripts: Byung-Hun Lee's act which made of madness and frustration was splendid. He's excellent acting added up with this attractive movie's atmosphere.
