Dr Alex Cross - Morgan Freeman - is a topnotch forensic psychologist asked to join a new FBI case. Three women, found dead in the woods, were raped, shorn, tied to a tree intricately and abandoned. Sick. Dr Cross soon believes this killer may be holding other women alive somewhere, keeping them until they break " his rules". Then, Dr Cross' own niece goes missing. Now, it's personal. Some clues point to a West Coast Dr who flies back and forth. Or there may be two killers, one learning from the other. Suddenly, a lady escapes . She's Kate - Ashley Judd - and she tells a scary tale of the man who calls himself Casanova. With her memories , can they find the killer's hideout ? Some may like this thriller while others reject it as too dark and twisted. Certainly the sadistic nature of the murderer is repulsive. Freeman and Judd give fine performances amidst the horror. If you have the stomach for most anything, you may be pleased to find a new thriller. Others should stay away.
