A tale as old as time - (pregnant) wife is murdered - and man goes on a no holds barred revenge tour. This time, it's Scott Adkins doing the revenge work, and this is a man who knows how to kick serious amounts of butt.
The action scenes here are spectacular, obviously with a distinctive ninja flavour to them. Adkins is clearly a very good proponent of martial arts. Some of his moves on in this sequel are dizzying.
The acting? Well, that's decent - which is all you expect from a movie like this. It's all about putting one guy against a dozen and watching him tear through them, not about an actor's emotional range or lack thereof.
