Personally, disappointed on the leading male role - not good looking enough for a costume drama. First 1-2 episodes are boring which almost turned me off.
High expectation on Yangzi initially. Her acting is ok, but I don't get her look this time and her face looks differently in this drama. Not as good as Yangzi's past several costume dramas.
Disappointed on ALL male roles. Tangjianci is just ok but others are either ugly or with poor acting skills.
Storyline is kinda of slow and boring. Don't understand why basic background needs almost one episode to describe. Not a fan for the original novel but seems not attractive enough for me.
