Probably the most historically inaccurate movie I have ever seen! Incredibly low budget, and resembles a senior class play rather than a movie with a star like Lindsey Wagner in it. The plot is full of silly things that the screen writers in California thought would be good for portraying mountain people, but have no basis in fact. BTW, there are no cougars in the Appalachian mountains, and the bizarre behaviors they have the mountain folk in this movie do are straight out of a comic book or a screen writers imagination.. Also, historically "Sin Eaters" portrayed at the funeral existed only sporadically in Medieval Europe, but certainly did not exist in the 1930s in America. I could not even finish it.
