If I could give this a zero I would. I absolutely loved the first two Magic Mike movies. Both 10/10s. But this movie was something else... From the very beginning I was put off by the insanely out of place narration. Not only did it make no sense. But it had nothing to do with the plot or essence of the movie. People watch Magic Mike to watch Magic Mike dance and strip. Instead the audience was completely robbed of everything they came into the movie expecting. There were very few scenes of actual stripping and amongst those rare scenes, there was frequent cutting that was beyond irritating. The movie took itself way too seriously without presenting anything meaningful. There were many unnecessary and random scenes that made no sense in the context of the movie. ESPECIALLY the cat intermission scene. I don't even know what to say about it - I have no words. The play itself was absolutely atrocious. I felt like I was watching a scene from Glee. Overall I was shocked by the countless out of place aspects of the film. Narration, Unicorn, Intermission, Swan Guy, Shallow "Love Story", why is everyone British?, lack of good music. I really regret watching this. So if this saves anyone the hour and 52 minutes I lost of my life, I'm glad to be of service.
