This film is adorable. Lopez and Wilson are charming and superbly watchable in this romance that hits all the right notes. This is so much better than most of the so-called romance movies available on the streamers. I'm loving the older, battle-hardened protagonists we're getting with Lopez. She deserves quality and she's finally getting it, even when they're dressed up in stilettos, sequins and hair pieces.
I think I particularly liked this one because it takes the tried and tested tropes of fake husband, opposites attract and forced proximity and gives us something that is both escapist and relatable. It's hard to get right, but I think they got it right here.
