6/10
Good plot but slow execution spoils the film.

Warning: Spoilers
Stone is a crime thriller film directed by John Curran and starring Robert De Niro, Edward Norton, Milla Jovovich and Frances Conroy.

Stone, a convicted arsonist, tries to convince his parole officer Jack for an early release. Things take a turn for the worse when Stone's wife Lucetta begins to seduce Jack.

The film should be remembered for great acting with a decent plot but very slow execution. Calling this film a thriller wouldn't be good as this film is more of a drama and less of a thriller. The film mainly focuses on the inner characters of a person and displays that everyone has a demon inside of themselves, such as Robert DeNiro's younger character decides to throw his baby out of the window just to stop his wife from leaving, Edward Nortan decides to fire the body of his grand parents who gets killed in a burglary gone wrong instead of reporting to the police as he himself was involved in the burglary and burnt the body out of fear of getting caught. Milla Jovovich' displaying the character of an ideal wife but sleeping with many men in the absence of his husband. Robert De Niro playing the role of honest police officer and ideal husband in the later part of the film but getting seduced by Milla Jovovich and granting parole to Edward Norton.

The screenplay of the film is very slow and second half gets even more slow. The viewers might start getting disconnected in the second half of the film.

The acting as mentioned is top class and everyone was perfect in their roles.

Overall a difficult film to watch and not this film is not for everyone.
