It was a nightmare alright...
28 March 2023
Stumbling upon this 1988 movie by random chance here in 2023, of course I opted to watch it on account of it being a horror comedy. Needless to say that I hadn't even heard about the movie prior to watching it.

And what a swing and a miss of a movie this was. Writer Kenneth J. Hall totally struck out here and delivered a movie script so cheesy and campy that it went beyond the point of no return. See, some 1980s movies are the right amount of cheesy so that they become fun and enjoyable to watch. Not "Nightmare Sisters" though, no sir. This was just downright abysmal and horrible to witness. The storyline was utter rubbish.

The acting performances in "Nightmare Sisters" were fair enough, though I can't say that I was overly impressed with what I witnessed. But then again, the actors and actresses literally had nothing to work with here.

Visually then you're not in for anything grand or memorable, should you opt to sit down and watch this movie from director David DeCoteau. There was simply too much time spent on showing off the three leading female performers being naked.

My rating of "Nightmare Sisters" lands on a very generous two out of ten stars.
