I had no idea this movie was was even out until I saw my local theater on the military base I'm on was showing it. I decided to go because I was so incredibly bored and had nothing to do, I looked at the reviews and they looked pretty poor. On my walk to the theater, I distinctly remember wondering why I was about to go waste my time because I gave zero *beep about seeing this movie. This movie honestly shocked me, I had an incredibly fun time with it, so much so that I went the next day with my buddy to see it again. The theater was having a ton of fun with it as well. They were only going to show it one night but the theater changed it to show it 2 nights since it got such a positive reaction. Only theater I've seen on base where people were clapping at the end so take that for what it is haha.
Really no complaints about this movie, really love Salma Hayek and Channing Tatum, thought their whole chemistry might be weird together but it worked flawlessly. The dance scenes and the music was incredible, story was entertaining.
For sure a unique premise compared to the other 2 movies, heard someone say this movie really didn't have to exist. Think that's true but I had a ton of fun with it, as a stand alone movie it will entertain. Recommend it for sure.
