The Peripheral is carried by Chloe Grace Moretz as she transitions between her digital and actual self The series struggles initially but manages to get the environment across, but it takes time, as there is much to define and explore. Some of the action scenes come across as choregraphed and lame and the potential to explore further the concept of IRL could have been expanded. Overall this series is a keeper stuffed with intriguing ideas and concepts and I really hope we are blessed with another season or more...
The special effects blend well with the character of the show and the writers in general have escaped the trap of long monologues to explain difficult ideas that is invading series TV in this age.
