OMG! They Scared Kenny!
17 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This film is a remake of the 1980 Jamie Lee Curtis film which I saw on VHS and could not remember a scene so I can't make any comparisons. In spite of that, I knew who was the killer from nearly the start perhaps a subconscious memory.

The film opens with a college frat prank played on the newbie Kenny (Noah Parker) by his brothers who promised to get him laid with Alana (Robyn Alomar). In the dark room he hears her voice as he kisses a corpse from the medical department. Kenny bugs out and off to the loony bin. Three years later the same group that played the trick goes on a Halloween party train complete with a creepy magician, something Kenny was into. We see a person in a costume kill a student. There is a party on the train and the bodies are sometimes seen as a prank.

Knowing the killer did not deter my enjoyment of the film which is a who-dun-it. The characterizations were developed on the train and not too well. Typical slasher. Decent amount of blood.

Guide: F-word. Brief sex. Brief Nudity (Michelle Doiron?)
