Another British TV-to-Film Adaptation
29 December 2022
Within the first 15 minutes The Bad Education has its main character getting high and stealing from a Holocaust museum, accidentally shooting a hamster up a woman's hoohaw, and getting a camera shot from his nutsack. Yes, it's that type of film.

The Bad Education Movie was made at the height of the boom of British TV shows getting a TV adaptation. Bad Education wanted to be the next The Inbetweeners Movie because they were both based on popular sitcoms that aimed at the same demography. They even had the same basic plot where the main characters go on a trip to celebrate finishing school. Unfortunately wasn't funny and the plot goes all over the place. At least The Inbetweeners Movie had character growth and acted as a good send-off for the show, The Bad Education Movie reset any development from the show.

The film starts with Jack Whitehall and his class trying to escape their chaperone, then see Whitehall get bullied by his old school chums, and finishes with an attempted Cornish revolution.

There were some moments I did chuckle at like Sarah Solemani snapping at Mathew Horne and Harry Enfield. It's a film where you need a high tolerance for shock humour.
