Javier Bardem is a great actor.
Not a good actor, a GREAT actor.
Why he agreed to be in this movie is beyond me. Not sure if he did his own singing so maybe he wanted to show off a different set of skills.

But if you are an adult, you are not going to like this movie. It's not like other CGI movies taht are marketed to kids but parents can sit through.
It's excruciating to watch. Not that the movie looks bad. It's obvious a bunch of money was spent on the production.
But the plot disposition is horrible. And the songs are mediocre at best. In addition, on an early number the vocals are flat and out of tune.
