I liked the direction of the whole movie, not too fast nor too slow. The arcs were also good, beginning with the King being homosexual and having a threat on his throne since he could not produce and heir, then having his lover have sex with his Queen to resolve this. Meanwhile, the two found themselves deeply in love, which drew the jealousy to the King, thus the ending.
Also, I liked how the conflict was presented and the sexual awakening of the Queen and Hong Lim which also led to their affection to each other. I heard from my friends about this and how they didn't find the scenes fitting. As for me, I thought the sex scenes where meticulously directed and shot, and it gave the depth about the awakening of the three characters.
