Warning: Spoilers
Paula Carson is having relationship problems with boyfriend Dwight Ingalls, but she's also being sought after by the lecherous principal and Brian Woods, who was just released from a mental hospital for killing his father.

As Paula's worries increase and the student body decreases drastically, she has to find out who is killing the pupils.

Could it possibly be Dwight, who's anger management has disappeared recently? Or Could it be Brian, who may have never been cured? Or could it be the school principal who would do anything to get into Paula's skirt, and played by special guest star Roddy McDowall.....

Cutting Class isn't going to win any prizes for originality, and if you guess who the killer is in the first ten minutes, don't pat yourself on the back just yet, it doesn't keep you guessing, in fact the killer may as well be holding a sign up throughout the duration of the film.

But it's fun to watch Brad Pitt in a ludicrous film not knowing that in a couple of years time that he would be one of the biggest stars on the planet, and he happens to be in a horror film. Do all big stars start off in the horror genre?

The majority of the film is your standard stalk and slash fare. We get the scene with the victim, watching then getting stalked for a couple of minutes before the big kill, and then they get discovered a few minutes after, usually with a hearty scream.

It's pretty bland stuff to be honest, so you're probably wondering why I gave it a seven.

It's the bonkers last twenty minutes, which is thrilling, entertaining, and most of all, funny.

So we get Brad and the who didn't become very famous walking into every risk filled room in the school with Paula in tow, almost succumbing the the killers little chases and rants. It feels like it's from a totally different film, and if the whole film had this pace, it would have become more familiar than it is now.

So for the most part, it's your standard stalk and slash fare, with a little Saved By the Bell thrown in for good measure.

But that last twenty minutes is genuinely excellent.
