A Fun Kong Rip Off, Watch It on a Horror Host show
23 October 2022
I watched this online for free (good quality video} on the Roku channel OSI-74 on the Cinema Insomnia show hosted by Mr. Lobo. It's great to see that Mr. Lobo, my favorite Horror Host, is putting out new quality content in 2022! The film is shown with retro commercials that have something in common with the film like quicksand and other Kong rip off film trailers that surprisingly all look watchable in a fun cheesy way. The episode called Peking Kong film that is showing is actually called The Mighty Peking Man. It has some very memorable scenes and a few cringe worthy scenes with animals pitted against each other in real combat. How they got an elephant to cry on camera I don't want to know! But if you can get past those parts check out all the memorable scenes like a Jane from Tarzan type woman who is running around in every other scene with a nipple exposed through her flimsy costume. Check out the climatic ending with the toy tanks blowing up PK. It's actually a pretty good production and our woman hero is very easy on the eyes to watch, especially when she climbs a papaya tree showing a thong panty, very nice. A bonus during Mr. Lobo's show is a whole episode of the 1966 cartoon King Kong which I probably watched as a kid because I remember the intro song which all the IMdb reviewers say is the best part of the cartoon. Being a Mr. Lobo fan and this being a pretty exciting and fun film to watch either intentionally or unintentionally, I give it a 10! The film alone because of the animal scenes cuts it to an 8, still very good!
