The beautiful set design, cinematography, and subtle acting is not enough to save this meandering revenge tale that is never as creepy as it sets out to be. The grand reveal is interesting, despite being a bit expected; and what's funny about that is that the story almost goes out of its way to be obtuse and it was still quite predictable. This isn't to say every movie must keep me on the edge of my seat or have me guessing, it's just that without that intrigue this movie amounts to very little besides its beautiful imagery. It's a witch tale that could have been fascinating, but it does so little with its intriguing premise that it feels wasteful and almost arrogant. Gave it try for about half of the movie, then I just completely lost interest. Nothing scary about it, the build it never happened and I could not take it anymore. Sorry, don't t recommend this movie at all.
