Summer Camp Nightmare has a good premise, a good setup, and the cast is okay given the material, but the trouble is the material isn't great. The plot, while technically there, is very thin and it kinda feels like it'd be better suited for a one-off episode of a sit com than it does for a ninety minute movie.
I can definitely see why this movie has fallen into obscurity in the decades since its release. While with most other movies I see, I can kinda-sorta see why it might be someone's favourite movie even if I personally don't like it, I can't imagine this movie ever building up that much of a following.
