A very green Vermont native, Clark Kellogg (Matthew Broderick), moves to NYC for film school.

Within minutes he is conned and loses everything he has.

When he pursues the culprit to get recompense, Clark is offered a job with Carmine Sabbatini (Marlon Brando)

Carmines operation is procuring endangered animals for the rich to eat.

Clark is pressured by corrupt cops to try and bring down Carmine. And as such Clark is sucked into the criminal world, and a world of deceit and corruption.

The film is okay overall - most of the laughs are in the first act, by the third the story loses its charm. There is not much character development, more just the characters react to circumstances brought on them.

It is funny and strange to see Marlon Brando play a parody of Vito Corleone at the age Vito would have been in the Godfather. The fact that they cast Marlon is in itself a joke.

Not much to the story, pretty expected and predictable overall. First 40 minutes are the best parts.
