The Glades (2010–2013)
7/10
Great Series, Very Enjoyable

Glades was a very entertaining series. The plots were interesting, the actors hysterical/believable (almost :-) ) . However, I would have rated the series a 10 if Callie Cargill/Kiele Sanchez had been replaced, or her script changed. The constant degrading look on her face wasn't conducive to the show. This must have been in the script [look disapproving; sneer at Jim; use an unsupportive tone; be inconsistent with Jim, then blame him when she doesn't know what she herself wants; let Jim think he is the only one with problems; deny him sex, but get angry when he wants it; jerk him around like a doll ... whatever she wants; having known knowledge of her husband's criminal activity, and supported it; do more sneering ... Reading my own comments, it must have been the writer's fault. They should have kept the relationship with Jim and Callie platonic to reduce the significant negativity in the show. This is my main complaint ... the negativity from Callie. Viewers have enough issues in their lives, they don't need the one-sided personal complaining that was written into the script. Not when the series is humorous. Every series doesn't need to include a complainer like Callie. She provided little help, except to add some "insight" ... which was mostly ridiculous. Her character ruined the show.

Carlos, Daniel, and Colleen were instrumental in creating a great show. Mike Ogletree as Jim's partner/superior in the pilot was awesome.

I won't discuss the ending. Another fault of the writers.

Why the writers screwed up Callie's personality is unknown to me. I won't blame the actor, only the script.
