Just out of prison, billy (j. Law, five years before mr. Ripley) and jo (frost, who is a couple years older) are up to no good, stealing cars, and causing general mayhem around the rough parts of london. Driving cars into store fronts to steal the merchandise. And, according to billy, mostly out of boredom. Jon pryce (tomorrow never dies) is in here as the copper. He's watching billy and the other guys, as they funnel the hot items upwards to the black market guys. A silly, nonsense scene when the chopper overhead announces that the police are on their way. Stay where you are.... pretty unlikely. That gave all the thugs a lovely bit of time to get away. Which they did! Serious swearing, in this one. It's a good snapshot of the gritty life in london, in the rough 1990s, when there were no jobs. No big surprises in this one, but it's not bad. Kind of surprised at the low rating. Written and directed by paul anderson. Law and frost met on this film, and married three years after it was released.
