Fire is a disgraceful show.
Let me start this review by stating I am a fire unit volunteer at Fire and Rescue NSW, who has seen every fire series in existence.
The worst emergency series are, in order... 1. Fire 2. Station 19 3. Rescue Special Ops 4. Police Rescue 5. London's Burning
Even Station 19 is better than this, and that's bad.
The officers don't even lead their crews.
There isn't even any technical jargon talk on radios.
The aerial doesn't get raised on the platform trucks.
The female radio dispatcher has the saddest, most nasal voice.
The old coats and apparatus were quite ugly, except the Austral Firepac pump was a good machine.

The most concerning part of this series are the line of duty deaths.
In the last two episodes of both seasons, one firefighter gets killed in an accident, and the second gets murdered. The real fire service did lose four men in the Nineties, but over the whole decade, not two years in a row.
One firefighter kills another with a bomb.
Glad to say that sort of thing doesn't happen in Australia.
The second gets killed tackling a gunman.
It is true the family court bomber was an NSW firefighter, and that would've been an interesting story for the show, to have a fireman setting devices. Not even he would harm his comrades.
Even if we are desperate to get rid of Georgie.
There's something wrong about two firefighters being murdered. The accidents are, at least, somewhat believable. The loss of Banjo and Nugget is just wrong.
If they were police officers that would be one thing, but they were just there to protect life.
Sad the writers would waste two firefighters with violence.
Usually America has unrealistic, depraved deaths in its shows.
At least they could've gotten rid of the recycled actors Peter and Georgie instead of the good firies.
It's so sad Banjo was bombed in an actual QFS uniform. If they're from a fake fire brigade, that might be understandable.
Why QFS would allow this show to bomb their own men is beyond me.
In real life Gretta would never run towards a gunman.
Love how Spit says the (Fake SERT) have "automatic" weapons and will fall unconscious from smoke inhalation.
Tactical Police have the same SCBA air tanks as firefighters, and they are semi-auto weapons. Obviously the firefighters should've retreated.
The turkey baster incident sounds like something Volunteer Rescue would do.
While mentioning Volunteer Rescue, Giraffe lost a vollie rescuer down a cave in Police Rescue. Giraffe was also shot as a corrupt cop in Wolf Creek. Funnily Giraffe ruins all three emergency services, just like Peter Phelps.
