I was not expecting this movie to be as good as it was. I love the comedic elements to it that keep this from being dull and there's plenty of over the top stuff such as the legendary hovercraft, the bikes driving over the cars and that infamous jump that Jackie does from the parking garage to the window.
There was a few big fight scenes but they were placed very well in the movie in spots many other movies would have been dull spots.
The acting (and voice overs) were for the most part atrocious. The little paralyzed boy playing the game gear with no game in it and wanting Jackie to date his surprisingly pretty sister. The street gang where that guy with blonde hair is so over the top but he works for the most part.
The street gang how jackie is one minute running from them and another minute becoming a wood chipper and after beating them up twice all of a sudden they are friends? Not in a million years but at least it isn't the street gangs today who would have handled the situation much more different if 10 of them can't beat one person up.
I would totally watch this again, it's right up there with "showdown in little tokyo"
