What in the fresh hell?
22 January 2022
Just before her execution, Aileen Wuornos told Nick Broomfield, the British film maker who documented her life with hundreds of hours of tape and believed she was so mentally ill that the State of Florida was killing a child that, ºThey will all make money on me when I'm gone."

This film is proof. It's a disgusting exploitation of the life of a woman who suffered through a childhood that would make Dickens weep. It does nothing to elevate the lives of the men she killed nor does it show the way Wuornos herself was failed by child welfare services and her defense attorney.

Too soon, folks. Too soon. The earnest young actress tries to save it. But too soon.

Skip it. Watch "Monster," or Brookfield's outstanding "Aileen Wuornos: The Selling of a Serial Killer,"
